Star Drift Challenge 2009 Round 1

the start of 2009 brings us the 1st round of stardrift challenge. like always, it was held at afamosa melaka where a combination of high speed and tight corner was built at the bus parking lot. around 43 driver participated in this particular event. this event was consider a new start for all the team to gain more points throughout the rounds. the most anticipated teams such as bridgestone and toyo tires and other known team were participated in this event. Team Toyo driver Lim Zee King has returned to take the title in this round. Defeating Ivan Choo in the finals. Lim Zee King drift his Nissan 180sx to take the wining. Tengku Djan on the other hand, unfortunately made a big mistake where he spins in the qualifying round which make him did not qualify for the tsuiso round. his team mate, Ivan Lau however qualify but had a crash in the best 8 round. for this particular event, all the driver was given the new qualifying format where drivers are only given 2 consecutive run.
